My Future Office
When we bought the house in April of 2003, my office looked like this:

The walls were not drywall/sheetrock/gypsum board/whatever name you personally use, but some sort of paper product. Very weird. And there wasn’t a closet. Lots of attic storage, but no closet. And look how low and funky the ceilings were. Gag. But now look at it!
We added a skylight, and opened up the ceilings, exposing the collar ties. (They will eventually be wrapped in prettier material.) Those cut-outs on the knee walls will be built-in book shelves. WooHoo!

And here’s the new closet. It’s actually quite roomy, despite the short door.
I’ve actually painted this room, and removed the protective paper covering the fir floors, but the room is so full of materials that I couldn’t get a good picture. The bookshelves aren’t in yet, or lights, or even electrical outlets for that matter. Someday…someday… Don’t ask me when. And don’t ever ask “are you done yet?”
